As of 7/24/2012 the Hollywood Bridge Club is participating in the "COMMON GAME". Several clubs across the country are playing the same hands as the ones you play at HBC. You can see every day how you did against the players of all those clubs by going to TheCommonGame.com . You will also be eligible to win prizes for most points won and for attendance.

First, we are all here to have a good time. Some of us are more competitive than others, but that is no excuse for unpleasantness or fighting, either with the opponents or your partner. If someone is unpleasant towards you, DO NOT RESPOND, but CALL THE DIRECTOR immediately. The director will 1st give the offender a WARNING and if there is a 2nd incident, will give a one board PENALTY and for a 3rd offense there will be a SUSPENSION.
Also, we will no longer allow anybody to refuse to play against a specific player. We will try to accommodate everybody to the best of our ability, but there is no guarantee. If you refuse to play against a particular opponent, you will receive an Average- on all the boards against them and they will receive an Average+.
When a phone rings there will be an automatic ½ board penalty and if you answer it, the penalty will be 1 full board.
These rules are for everybody's benefit and are not meant to interfere with your enjoyment of the game, but to enhance everyone's enjoyment.
